my 84 stepside c-10 build

this is my 1984 stepside build. i bought it for $800 as a shortwide



as soon as i got it we started stripping it down and began customizing it. buy the next weekend it looked like this



after a few cruise nights i decided to tear it down and build it the way i wanted it



i decided i wanted it to be a stepside so i got rid of my short bed and got a stepside bed for it. i sand blasted the frame and layed a silver paint on it





i stripped and painted every part and replaced all the ball joints and tie rod ends.

after that i started working on the body. i stripped the floors and sealed them with some undercoating



i stripped the fire wall and welded up all the holes



i started on the bed after that the guy i got the bed from was using it on a drag truck and had cut relief holes with a torch for the tires and for the fuel cell and the battery



i welded in some trailer fenders



i caped the end of the bedrails and shaved the gas door




i took the stock wipper cowl and shaved all of the vent holes



some things i dont have pics on here of is that i shaved the drip rails, the emblem holes, the font marker lights, the cab seam around the top of the cab. i didnt like the roll pans that are available to order so i made one this is a pic of it before i addded the tag bucket



i got a suburban front end for it



i welded in a c-notch




the seats that im gona use are out of a 2000 jeep cherokee and the console is out of a 98 silverado




the dash im using is out of a 94 silverado



this is the motor it is a 305 that i rebuilt it had different valve covers on it now

Thank guys. It dosent look like that right now. I will try and post some pics when I get a chance. I'm fixing to take it to a friend of mine to get painted I was planning on doing it myself but don't really have the time to get it done. While the body is being painted I'm planning on finishing the air ride, and try and get the motor installed
