jacob theres a guy on infamousnissan.com that has a hardbody with the swing-open tailgate...he said he used mack truck hinges and had to shave the taillights in order to weld in the hinges right here. you might try contacting him to find out more details...he has a business on the coast so it should be pretty easy to reach him. his shop is called Hybrid Images
