Re: Southern Truck Forum Show
oh shit. We've got a lot of things to look into. Eladio has already said he would talk to his family about using the parking lot around the mexican restaurant which I believe would be a pretty god location. I do believe that we have to get a liscence to have an event andd present an agenda explaining in details what we plan oon doing. I don't really know who to go to about things like that.. We need music, like a dj. I know a few but idk if theyld do it for free or not. We need food and drinks, if anyone knows vendors or anything would be nice. I know logans grandparents had a vendor traailor that they bring to the street fair so maybe he could talk to them and see if they want to make a little money. We need flyers for advertissement; I can get free advertisement at the newsss paper, maybe a radio shoutout.. I do believe we have to have some sort of security. Maybe we could do some contests and judging. Stereo comp. Etc. We need permits to sel food. And also pay taxes on a certain percent we make. When we get the lisscence to event they will give us a list of things we need to do and have. We need to see about city ordinances to see how early we could start and late we can stay out. It would be nice if we could find sponcers so things would be easier to pay for. After we figure out much thing will be, we can discuss ticket prices that's best for us. I think that's about all I have thought of so far, so any ideas would be great. Let me know what yall can come up with.

Re: Southern Truck Forum Show
ah yea! And dockside cators so we have a handful of places to choose from and see what our best deal could be. Hah and since we could be in the mexican restaurants parking lot, they may want to set up a taco stand or somethin too. Oh and bathrooms. Need those.

Re: Southern Truck Forum Show
dude. Idk. There's so much to pln in such little time. I don't want to jus throw a show together and it be shitty and and gain a shitty rep. Then noone would want to come back and we lose more than we make. We need to plan it right and make it badass to put picayune on the map. I want a show that evveryone prepares all year to come to. We do this right and prove ourselves to the city, we could be lookin at an annual event.

I agree for sure. If we made money we could donate some to the police department. Just saying thats a really smart idea.

Re: Southern Truck Forum Show
i'm up for a show in picayune! I don't know what kind of time frame ya'll are lookin at but I know that in order to plan/schedule a show it'll take over a year to get all the permits, vendors, ads/publicity lined up before announcing a show will be held. I used to work at a club and we wanted to setup a show and to get a permit/license it would take about 2 months. Of course you'll have to get vendors and people already lined up to sponsor and attend before you get the permit just to ensure you aren't blowing your money away. Just my 2 cents

Re: Southern Truck Forum Show
I'd love to help! but I'll tell you straight up it'll be great to have a company allow us to use their property that way all the permits are in the company's name and of course they would take most...if any...profits. don't forget about insurance too! Just call Picayune's city hall and tell them you need to talk to someone that would know about permits for a large event/carshow and what steps need to be taken, timeframes and what not...might as well call Pearl River County too just to see if they require anything extra. don't forget police presence is always a factor
